Anonymous asked: I'm writing some spoken word for a class. It's my first time with spoken word, and honestly, even just writing it was extremely difficult...I kept thinking to myself, "What will my listeners think?". And now that I finally have it, I was wondering if you could give me some performance tips. I know it's supposed to be genuine emotion and blah blah blah but this is my first time still. Thank you<3
I grapple with that exact same issue. Sometimes you have to stop being concerned with the listeners and focus on just being honest. Being genuine is always a good place to start
